Suborder Sternorrhyncha
These bugs are found worldwide and are often recognized as major pests. They are primarily made up of plant feeders. This suborder can be characterized by the cotton like wax that many species produce. This suborder has specialized for rapid feeding and reproduction rates. Aphids are one of the most well know insects of this family, and are a popular prey for Ladybugs, one of the most well known species of beetles. Aphids are able to reproduce both sexually and asexually, also some lay eggs while others birth live young.
